MEET THE GROWERS
Our growers are the soul of Local Bound, it is the reason we even began.
We’ve bound a collective of sustainable and regenerative producers together, united in ethics, quality, local ecosystems, and a true love for food under one platform. We have the best and freshest ingredients from the farmers and producers you love.
BIRCHRUN HILLS FARM
Birchrun Hills Farm is owned and operated by Ken and Sue Miller and our two sons, Randy and Jesse, we control every step of how our products are made. We sustainably grow crops, practicing regenerative agriculture for over 30 years, and feed a herd of 80 holstein cows to produce high-quality milk. We make cheese and age it in our underground aging-facility. The Miller family has been making cheese since 2006 to secure a sustainable future for our dairy farm.
FIFTH MONTH FARM
We are a produce farm and C.S.A located in Mount Joy, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
We grow produce year round in our fields and green houses on the five beautiful acres we lease at Cedar Hill Farm.
Our crops are grown using organic methods and so, we do not use synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. We care for the land by building soil fertility through cover crops and crop rotation and encourage beneficial insects to make our farm their home.
FUNKY FRESH FERMENTS
Funky Fresh is a Philadelphia-based foods company specializing in raw living nutrient-dense kombucha. We strive to exhibit the same harmonious energy in our beautiful city that our cultures create.

From the classic tartiness of more traditional kombucha to fruity, floral, and herbal varieties, there’s a Funky Fresh kombucha for everyone.
HORSE SHOE RANCH
Here at Horse Shoe Ranch we don’t use any fancy words to describe our products except the word truly because well, they are just that, truly pasture raised and that's it, no green washed words that you see at the grocery store to sell you on the fake quality of life those birds had. We will always be transparent about our birds and the process so you know that you and your family will always know where your eggs come from and can trust in us as your farmers.
KEEPWELL VINEGAR
Vinegar, miso, and soy sauce made only with ingredients sourced directly from farmers in the Mid- Atlantic.
KNEEHIGH FARM
Since our founding in 2013, our goals have stayed the same: tend the land through regenerative practices, feed our community nourishing food, and empower female farmers to pursue their own agricultural ventures. What started as a one-woman operation has become a crew of hardworking, dedicated farmers. We’d love to feed you! Join the CSA or visit our sister store, Red Dog Market, a hyper-local grocery started by Farmer Emma and her husband, Aaron.
MYCOPOLITAN MUSHROOM COMPANY
We grow mushrooms that are appropriate to the season. Our subterranean farm uses earth's thermal mass to buffer temperatures. This means less energy and more mushrooms.
Our farm is 100% chemical-free and our blocks consist of 90%+ organic substrate. We never spray anything on mushrooms and mycelium that isn’t h2o.
We make our blocks in house, meaning we don’t source our substrate from China which has become the industry standard for shiitake.
We challenge YOU to find fresher, more beautiful and more varied mushrooms than you’ll find from Mycopolitan :)
PASTALAB
The Pasta Lab was born from a desire to share the flavor and variety of freshly-milled flour with our community. We actually arrived here after a persistent obsession with bread baking at home. Years ago we explored bread with a focus on the sourdough process and the exclusive use of freshly milled grain. We bought a tabletop grain mill, ordered as many varieties of wheat that we could get our hands on, and started turning this into incredible bread. Soon enough, we started substituting this stone ground flour with any recipe that called for white flour. The flavor of our creations were suddenly amplified.
